The Office of Core Curriculum (OCC) and the School of Social Sciences (SOSS), Singapore Management University, invites applications for a jointly appointed Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Science, Technology, and Society to begin in July 2020.
The ideal candidate would contribute to the delivery of the University’s Core Curriculum and offer multidisciplinary courses under a “Technology and Society” heading, such as “Science, Medicine, and Ethics” and “Artificial Intelligence and Society”.
The position requires a doctorate in a relevant discipline by the date of appointment. We seek candidates with a demonstrated record of, or high potential for, excellent teaching.
Singapore Management University is a research university committed to a multidisciplinary and integrated curriculum. Salary and benefits, and, research support, are highly competitive. The teaching load is eight sections taught in a small-class seminar style, with two to three preparations.
Full evaluation of applications will start 16 September 2019. Only shortlisted candidates, who will be invited for campus visits beginning in October 2019, will be notified. This position will be open until filled.
